Birthday Party

I am sorry for the delay!!! Dacey's birthday pictures are finally here. Dacey Jo turned 1 on Labor Day!!! We had a birthday party on the Saturday before Labor Day. Dacey had so much fun playing with her cousins and friends.

We had everything set up outisde and just as everyone started to show up we had to move all the tables and chairs into the garage. I was ok with that...at least everyone got to see our hard work. I had been planning this for a year and it was so great that it was finally here. Dacey had a pink and brown cupcake party and everything besides the sprinks turned out perfect. When it was time for Dacey to eat her own cupcake she had no problem tearing into it. I sat it in front of her and within a few seconds she was dipping her hands in for a taste. She just about ate the entire JUMBO cupcake!!!

After all the sugar I expected her to get really hyper and be all ready to go but just the opposite happened. She let Hallie and Katie push her all around in the stroller without a peep. By the time it was dark she was ready to pass out. She had had enough partying for one day. Thank you to everyone for all the great cards and presents!! We had so much fun and can't wait to do it again in a year!!!!

Rantoul Outing!!

I finally talked Danny into taking Dacey up to see the monster truck and fire trucks at the Rantoul IGA. We saw our friends, Chris, Brandy, Braxton and Dirksen!!! It was crazy crowded so we didn't stay too long! But it was a fun outing!!

Little Miss Attitude

Dacey's first birthday is coming up so I have been working on getting everything planned. I took a day last week and took lots of pictures to see if I could get a good one for the invites...can you believe out of 50 pictures she would only smile in 1!!!!! As soon as I tried to take her picture she would turn her head. Also we were both fighting colds so she was breathing out of her mouth instead of her nose and her mouth was open in just about every picture!! Here are a few!

Buddy in the tub

Tonight during our nightly bath time we had a buddy join us in the bathtub. Maynard is extremely nosey and got himself in the tub with Dacey. He was ok until she started splashing like crazy. He wasn't too into that! Dobie also loves it when Dacey is taking a bath. He likes to try to lick all the water!!!

July Fun

So my pictures of the all the kids did not turn out as good as Aunt Heather's but I thought these were pretty cute. Dacey just loves spending time with her cousins. She thinks she can do anything they can do!!

Dacey did so good at the parade that she even fell asleep before the end of it. I was so surprised that she was able to sleep right through the sirens of the fire trucks.

The last 4 weeks have been very busy! They seem to have flown by. Dacey is almost 11 months old now and we are accomplishing new things everyday. Her first word besides mama and dada is cat. She says it so good. She has also started pushing her walker across the room without any problems. The funniest thing she does now is, whenever Danny and I are carrying on a conversation, she joins right and gets louder and louder until we stop out conversation.
